SUMMARY:Becoming Camera Ready: At-Home Edition
DESCRIPTION:Looking for ways to improve your video recording skills outside of the studio environment? Becoming Camera Ready: Preparing for Your Filming Day at The Studio is our go-to resource for those recording micro-lessons in one of the IDMPS? production studios. However, even if you aren?t standing in front of our production cameras and lights, we?ve still got you covered! With a focus on camera presence, acting tricks, and the fundamentals of high-quality video recordings, this brief webinar will provide you with practical tips on how to improve your at-home or in-office instructional recordings. This Teach in 10 Series Workshop is facilitated by the Instructional Design and Media Production Studio (IDMPS) and is intended for UIC instructors. Please use your UIC email address when registering for Studio workshops. Learning Objectives: Utilize acting and journalism techniques to connect with your students and increase their sense of instructor presence. Learn the basics of at-home lighting, sound, backgrounds, and framing. In video, context is everything. Lean into your personal style in a way that comes across as both professional and authentic to students. | Event post: https://idmps.uic.edu/events?page_id=1230
