What if grades reflected students' effort, engagement, and labor rather than evaluations of quality? In this Teach in 10 session, we will introduce the core principles of labor-based grading and explore examples of labor-based grading across disciplines, and identify key practices of labor-based grading that promote student engagement, meaningful feedback, and equity.

This Teach in 10 Series Workshop is facilitated by the Instructional Design and Media Production Studio (IDMPS) and is intended for UIC instructors. Please use your UIC email address when registering for Studio workshops.
