Emma's bio
Emma Schmidt is a graduate student at UIC studying Biomedical Visualization within the College of Applied Health Sciences. She joined the studio in February 2026 as a graduate assistant supporting the instructional design team with course site building. Emma is from New York, and prior to her graduate studies, she taught multidisciplinary art forms to young artists at a non-profit organization. Emma received her BFA in Painting and a minor in Art History from Boston University in 2023, and strives to channel her artmaking into informational and engaging scientific imagery that expands upon educational resources in healthcare.
